What to expect after your diagnosis
Titration is how we find the ADHD medication and dose that works for you, step by step. This page walks you through how titration works at HealthHero, what you will be asked to track, what reviews involve and how you’ll know when you’ve reached a stable dose. It also covers common questions about safety, side effects, monitoring and timing.
Titration is available privately and only after a HealthHero ADHD diagnosis. We do not accept external diagnoses and we do not offer NHS or shared care prescribing at the moment.
Medication is optional and you and your clinician decide together whether it is right for you.
Here’s what happens during ADHD medication titration, so you know what to expect at each stage.
HealthHero follows UK clinical safety norms. Monitoring your blood pressure, pulse and weight before and during treatment is part of safe ADHD prescribing and helps ensure any potential physical effects of medication are caught early.
The number of reviews varies depending on how you respond to medication and what is clinically appropriate.
Titration typically lasts 8 to 12 weeks. Some people stabilise sooner, others may need longer. It depends on your response, whether a dose change helps, or if you need to try a different medication.
There’s no rush. Your clinician will work at a pace that’s safe and manageable for you.
Throughout titration, we monitor:

When titration is complete:
Shared care with NHS GPs is not currently available. This means all prescribing remains with HealthHero.
